Cleanse, Day 10
Based on how I felt yesterday, I can imagine that I was really cleansing myself of toxins! Given an overall low body and mind feeling, I basically took the day to relax, walk around, watch a matinee. Tomorrow begins a 3-day Master Cleanse (along with the usual drinks and excercises). I am really looking forward to this, as the last few days of raw fruits and vegetables has been more challenging than anything else so far. Odd how your tastes will change! I had just learned how to approximate my favorite basil, tomato and mozzarella sandwich using raw ingredients. So, I am now missing dehydrated crackers and raw nut cheese spread!
Last night, I watched the end of Living on Live Food with Alissa Cohen. I found myself up late taking pages of notes on raw foods cooking and easy recipes. I realized that most recipe books lack what I really am looking for - the quick and easy non-recipe tips for living day-to-day with raw foods. Amongs the recipes, Living on Live Food had this! Given the joys and frustrations I’ve had with going raw (from a culinary perspective), I’ve added a new category of posts to kandacerae.com - raw recipes, where I’ll post raw recipes tried and how they’ve turned out (from a novice point of view).
