This Sunday is International Women’s Day. I’ll be spending the day volunteering at Portland’s own event. I am excited to be a part of a day of performance, art, education and so on.

In the news…A group of Iraqi women “will speak with members of Congress, meet with Cindy Sheehan, and deliver an urgent call for peace to the UN and White House” on a “rare” trip for International women’s day. Unfortunately, “two delegation members whose families were killed by US troops were denied visas.” (see article).
