unicorn

met with thesis advisor today. ever say really dumb things to really smart people? i proudly told her that i had put big words into my proposal, so it should be better. i also asked if she had a copy of a book that was in my references that i hadn’t had a chance to look at yet. lucky for me, the gal has a sense of humor and puts up with my meandering mind. speaking of mind wanders, r.b.b. and i were talking about the kinds of animals we would be if we could be. i say bird. he said lion. a vegi wanting to be a lion? given his love of the pretty pink tree, i’d say the guy strikes me more like a black unicorn (i learned of this from my only favorite video game zoo tycoon). if only he believed in unicorns.

What you have to understand is that this reference here is with regard to the game Zoo Tycoon, which K hearts, in the complete (bonus) edition you get additional characters which some of the game designers apparently came up with at four in the morning while breastfeeding their children or something, so you get the unicorn, for instance, who likes the pink trees. Now I’d imagine that maybe this sprung forth from some story that the designer cooed to their child to make it sleepy, but now it’s in the game, and so K will periodically make mention of these animals in some obscure
